Top Things to Do or See Near Alpine Wyoming

Jackson Hole, Wyoming is a name that rests on anyone’s tongue when speaking of the Old West. And for good reason: It’s a perfect jumping-off point for Yellowstone and Grand Teton tours, Snake River boat trips and more.

However, its lesser-known cousin Alpine, Wyoming deserves just as much love. A smaller settlement nearby, it’s actually the place many people who work in Jackson Hole call home. With a small-town feel, amazing year-round activities and gorgeous backcountry views, it’s a destination in its own right.

Whether you make this your base for your entire Yellowstone trip or for a few atmospheric days, make sure to fill your time well. Here are the top things to do or see in and around Alpine!

Winter Jubilee

Held in the town of Alpine, the Winter Jubilee is fun for the whole family. From the treasure hunt to the light parade, the hot dog roast to casino night, you’ll never lack for things to do during the two-day fiesta. Bonus: Fireworks make everyone happy, so make sure to hit up the show behind Tavern on the Greys Friday night!

Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks

Whether you hit up the parks in summer or winter, there’s always something grand on viewing. Consider summer wildlife tours or ATV trips, or winter snowmobile adventures and van rides.

Word to the wise: Don’t wait to book those trips, otherwise they’ll fill up before you know it!

Summer Fun

Those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer are just as fun-filled as the wintertime. Check out the 4th of July Fireworks show, or get a ticket to the Car Show, which includes awesome cars on display as well as a cookout.

Because this destination is so popular, you want to book your flights, hotels, and tours well ahead of time. If there are any questions we can answer, please don’t hesitate to get in touch!
