Outdoor Group Activities in Jackson Hole

planning a vacation for a large group to the Jackson Hole area, there’s plenty of outdoor adventure waiting for you. Where else can you go from complete serenity to all-out wild within a matter of seconds? The Grand Teton Mountains and Yellowstone National Park attract close to a million visitors in the summer months. With average highs in the low 80s, everyone comes out to play, including the bison and antelope that call this place home. Don’t miss out on these outdoor activities.

Camping

There’s only one way to truly feel one with nature—sleep outside. You can rent camping equipment and park at one of Yellowstone’s many camping grounds. Drive into Jackson Hole for the day and we’ll hook you up with a two-seater ATV or four-seater UTV for some off-roading fun.

Camping is also a must for multi-day hikes. Blue Miner Lake is a popular spot for backpackers to spend the night before hiking to the Sleeping Indian summit.

Hiking

Most visitors choose to hike the Tetons. We don’t blame them—the mountain and lake views are gorgeous and the chances for spotting some wildlife are pretty great in the early mornings. If you want to switch it up and hike where the locals do, we recommend Sleeping Indian. You’ll actually get to witness stunning views of the Tetons that most people miss out on.

Scenic Tours

At Scenic Safaris, we offer a variety of half- or full-day group excursions. Depending on what you want to see, our expert guides will tailor the tour so you can see the most of Yellowstone National Park. Old Faithful Geyser Basin Hike is a popular choice for those who want to see Old Faithful and explore the backroads for some elk spotting.

Fly Fishing

There’s no doubt the Snake River is a prime spot for fly fishing. The Snake River’s most popular fishing starts below the small dam at Jackson Lake in Grand Teton National Park. This section of the river fords up through Jackson Hole valley and provides some great opportunities to catch the coveted Snake River Finespotted Cutthroat.
