Picture Perfect: The Best Views in Grand Teton

One of the most dramatic mountain ranges in the nation, the Grand Teton range is the site of millions of tourist visits every year … and for good reason. These spiny, snow capped mountains are home to an astonishing array of wildlife and some darn good views. Here are a few of our favorites!

Schwabacher Landing

If you love a calm hike through plains and wetlands, this is a great destination. The river offers amazing rippled reflections of the Tetons, as well as water bird and otter sightings, and even a beaver dam. Cuteness factor = 1,000.

Mormon Row

One of the most famous sights in the entire Jackson Hole area, Mormon Row is a well-known Mormon settlement, built back in the late 1800s. Today the site is on the National Register of Historic Places, with old timey structures set against the backdrop of the towering Teton Range. Located on antelope flats, it’s a perfect stop on a tour with Scenic Safaris.

Red Hills

The incredible Red Hills are just what they sound like: upthrust, bare land that contrasts sharply with the green plains around them. On the drive there, you’ll head through the gorgeous Bridger-Teton National Forest, which is always worth seeing.

Snake River Overlook

The site of one of Ansel Adams’ most famous pictures, this overlook is a classic Grand Teton sight. You can get there by car or tour van, or experience the Snake River on the “ground level” when you take a boat trip instead. Check out Mad River Boat Trips for whitewater thrills and serene scenic floats.

Whatever views you want to prioritize this trip (hint: all of them!), it’s time to make your plans now. Tours fill up fast as summer crowds flock in, so don’t miss your chance to make the most of your Grand Teton adventure. Get in touch with the team here at Scenic Safaris if you have more questions or want to book your trip NOW!
